About the Artist

John Botti is a painter and photographer hailing from Northern New Jersey who has access to the vibrant art scene of New York and Jersey City.
He studied Fine Arts at Georgetown University, Photography at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. as well as Graphic Design at Parsons School of Design in NYC.
His work has recently been sold and exhibited at the Jersey City Artists Studio Tour.

Beginnings 

He began painting right out of college but soon transitioned to a career as a Creative Director where he had an opportunity to design ads for both retail and advertising clients. He also mentored many up and coming art directing talents. He had the good fortune to visit many inspiring locations and work with some of the best photographers in the field. 

Now

After retiring, he has turned his attention to painting, photographing and continuing on his creative journey. His recent paintings are heavily influenced by abstract impressionists of the 50’s and 60’s. Living in Jersey City, you can see the industrial energy represented in his early work, while more current paintings are abstract landscapes inspired by his current home and studio in the grassy meadowlands of NJ.
